Sony safety alert

Sony offer free safety checks on some Bravia televisions.

Sony have recently announced that a component used in eight versions of its Bravia televisions might be faulty and could, in rare cases, lead to overheating. 

 

AT A GLANCE: IS MY SONY TELEVISION AFFECTED? 

 

The sets at risk are all 40in LCDs manufactured in 2007 and 2008 - although they may have been on sale until later.

The specific model numbers are: KDL-40D3400KDL-40D3500KDL-40D3550KDL-40D3660KDL-40V3000KDL-40W3000KDL-40X3000KDL-40Z3000.

 

You can find out the model number  from the back of the set, or via the set-up menu on screen.
